Beginners Guide
Welcome to our quick run down on what you should look for when looking for a host.
Paid Host or Free Host
A free host is great if you are starting out or messing about with ideas but if you want your site to be taken seriously and make an impact on the web, you need to have a paid host. There really is no other way around it.
Local or International
It is possible to find a cheaper/better host in another country but remember that support will prove to a little more difficult. Whilst email and forum support is good, nothing beats talking to a member of staff from a hosting company.
Phoning a host from another country could prove to be very expensive or not practical at all due to time differences.
Features
Remember to look for a host which has all of the features that your website needs (for example mysql support etc) but also make sure that the host offers a good admin panel to make your administration of your websites much easier.
Usage
Maximum bandwidth and memory is an important issue, especially if you have a graphic intensive or high traffic site, so make sure the host meets your requirements.
Shop Around
Mobing host can be a timely affair so shop around and make your the decision of your new host a good one. Read members reviews, compare prices with other hosts and if possible give the company a call before hand to discuss the matter because at the end of the day they want your business.
Good Luck!!
